FD scoring includes points for each contact, a power multiplier plus a number of available bonus points. The bonus points are explained in the rules at ARRL site, but here are few heads up:
- Some bonus points require documentation in the form of photos or written proof
- Some bonus points are very easy to earn some require a lot more effort and/or special skills or operating equipment
- Some of the most important bonus points, in my opinion, are those that provide a positive image of Amateur Radio to the public and public officials. Some of these are limited by the nature of social distancing FD operations but some are still feasible.
